Japha Earth

We've undertaken a variety of initiatives to show we care - about our clients, our staff, the local community and the whole planet. Collectively we call these initiatives Japha Earth.

Everyone needs a computer these days, there's no doubt about that. And with a lot of the world's computers working very long hours, IT systems can have a serious environmental impact.

At Japha, we use server virtualization to reduce our power consumption. And the servers in our head office run primarily off solar power during the day. (Backed up by regular power from the grid of course!)

We store documents electronically (rather than printing hard copies) wherever possible. And we ensure that our old IT equipment gets reused or recycled properly, rather than going to landfill.

Japha also makes donations to various charities and other worthwhile causes - including the Red Cross, Salvation Army, Guide Dogs Association, RSPCA and World Vision.

We always encourage our staff and clients to reduce their environmental impact wherever possible, and to opt for carbon offset options where offered.

Finally, we always make sure we always have a positive work environment. This benefits our staff and our clients, improves productivity, and helps to make Japha a great place to work!
